A semi-hard cows’ milk cheese, named after the small village of Morbier in Franche. It has a distinctive narrow black streak, running horizontally across the middle of the cheese. Morbier is an aromatic, and surprisingly gentle-tasting cheese, with a slightly bitter and nutty aftertaste. 

Pairing: Pinot Noir or a Chardonnay
